Edward Snowden, the alleged 'fugitive' NSA Surveillance leaker, has supposedly asked Ecuador for Asylum; So, now the U.S. has a controversy with Ecuador, because the U.S. wants to apprehend Snowden to prosecute him for treason.  

Here's an ironic fact about the South American country of Ecuador:

The present currency of Ecuador is the United States dollar.

Now that is strange.  

They use the American Dollar and we have a diplomatic crisis?  

What's next?  An embargo?
