Pope Francis and Roman Curia to have their spiritual exercises outside Rome

2014-03-08

On Sunday March 9, Pope Francis will follow a different schedule after the Angelus. At four in the afternoon, he will take a bus from Paul VI Hall that will take him to Ariccia.

Any member of the Roman Curia can join the Pope, but they must pay their own expenses.

The place of the retreat is in Ariccia, close to Lake Albano, 18 miles away from the Vatican. The location is called 'Casa Divin Maestro,” has 120 bedrooms and is looked after by the Pauline Family.

The person in charge of preaching the spiritual exercises is the Roman parish priest Angelo De Donatis. Everyday there will be two meditations, vespers and a time for reflexion and silence.

The Pope's exercises will end on Friday March 14th at 10:30 am.
