Russian Supply Ship Takes Off for Space Station

Russia’s new Progress 56 supply ship took off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, July 23, beginning a six-hour trip to the International Space Station. Progress was carrying nearly three tons of food, fuel and supplies for the crew. The craft will remain at the space station until October. Credit: YouTube/NASA
